Hello, this is David Downs, your Senior Editor at Leafly News, and I’m here to provide you with a quick rundown on the new features you can access on Leafly for March 2023. If you’re not familiar with Leafly, it’s the go-to source for cannabis information worldwide, with over 6,000 strains listed, 4,000-plus store menus, and hundreds of thousands of strain and store reviews from millions of visitors each year.
We have some exciting updates for our app that you can access on both iOS and Android. We’re constantly improving the app by fixing bugs and adding new features to ensure a faster and easier ordering process. Now, with our new updates, you’ll be able to receive live updates on your order fulfilling, get better notifications on Android, see updated dispensary schedules, and access Leafly links directly from the web.
We’re always striving to make shopping for strains easier. With over 6,000 strains listed in our database, we understand it can be overwhelming. To improve your browsing experience, we’ve added a bigger and more prominent “shop” button on strain pages to see the strain for sale at your local stores.
We also launched a delivery ordering portal on Leafly in 2022 and have been refining it ever since. You can go to leafly.com/delivery, enter your address, and add items to your cart for a great delivery experience. We offer delivery in as little as an hour, depending on the delivery address.
We’re thrilled to report that Leafly is now available on UberEats! You can order weed in Toronto, Canada, and we’ll flow the order to advertising stores in the area. We started with three stores, and now we’re almost up to 40. Toronto now rivals California in weed delivery frequency.
Our world-class canna-journalists published about 50 stories in February, covering topics like arousing strains, Black-owned dispensaries, and how to make cannabis cocktails. We’re continuing to update our database and add to our Strain Pages, with dozens of new strains like Seed Junky Genetics’ Mango Fruz.
We’ve improved our search function by effect or flavor, making it easier to find strains with specific effects or tastes. Our Strains Lists and Glossary have also been updated with the latest lingo to keep up with the evolving cannabis vocabulary.
In March, we’re excited to bring you fresh columns for HighLight, Horoscopes, Leafly Buzz, and health write-ups. Our Leafly Delivery team is working on adding even more features to make it easier to get weed delivered, like toggling between pickup and delivery search and text query search.
If you’re looking to join our team, we’re currently hiring for the Human Resources and SEO teams, and Leafly News is always looking for bad-ass freelance reporters who can take photos and shoot or edit video. We’re looking for individuals who embody our values of courage, ownership, inclusivity, passion, responsibility, and impact.
